Solving Constipation quickly,is it possible?

Let's face it. Next to diarrhea, constipation is on everybody's list of non-serious stomach ailments they would rather not suffer through. After all, who wants to have dry and difficult bowel movement with nausea, vomiting and abdominal bloating thrown it? Definitely not you!

Fortunately, solving constipation quickly is possible with natural methods ranging from the consumption of certain fruits and vegetables to the use of herbal laxatives. These remedies should provide relief from constipation relatively quickly. Take note, however, that if you have chronic constipation that these remedies cannot cure on a more permanent basis, then it is time to consult your doctor.

Eat Fiber-Rich Fruits and Vegetables

For definition purposes, fiber is the plant material that cannot be digested by our gastrointestinal tract. As such, it is a staple of constipation treatments along with water. You can either eat fiber-rich fruits and vegetables or take fiber supplements, of which the former is highly recommended. At least, you also get the other vitamins and minerals necessary to keep you healthy instead of just the fiber in synthetic form.

With that said, the following fruits and vegetables are the most effective in solving constipation quickly:

Prunes and prune juice contain dihydrophenylisatin, which is a natural laxative, and fiber. Both regulate bowel movements. For faster results, try heating the prune juice before drinking.

Guavas eaten daily helps in constipation relief mainly through the seeds, which acts as roughage for regular bowel movement. Eat 1-2 daily for best results.

Vegetables like carrots, spinach and lettuce in a salad is good for constipation relief. These contain plenty of fiber as well as vitamins and minerals.

As previously mentioned, you can also consume whole grains like oatmeal and bran. These are fiber-rich foods that have been proven time and time again towards solving constipation quickly.

Take Herbal Laxatives

First off, it must be emphasized that even herbal laxatives must not be abused in the relief of constipation. You might just end up with a more damaged intestinal tract than you previously set out to heal in the first place.

Here are herbal preparations that you can purchase from online sites and selected offline pharmacies:

Aloe gel juice acts as a natural laxative and subsequently stimulates the bowel. Be careful about the dosage instructions as it can have adverse side effects.

Senna contains natural substances called anthraquinone glycosides, which are strong laxatives able to soften the stools and increase contraction of the intestinal muscles. Thus, if you are looking for herbs with the intention of solving constipation quickly, then senna is the answer.

Buckthorn has been known for centuries as a purgative and laxative. You will experience its laxative action within 10 hours of administration, which will start at just 1-3 grams before bedtime and then in the morning on an empty stomach. It is important to always start at low levels.

Milk thistle increases the flow of bile to the intestines, thus, it acts as a mild laxative.

When these fiber-rich foods and natural laxatives are combined, you will definitely feel the difference relatively quickly. Of course, this is assuming that you do not have underlying medical conditions like diverticula that prevents solving constipation quickly through natural and herbal means.
